Wensleydale is a breed of sheep with very long (10-12 inches) curley and wavy locks. It is very lustrous to with long undulating waves (think 1930’s Marcel waves). These locks are often used in hand spinning, dreadlocks and in doll making. These locks are dark brown with areas that look almost black. Although these locks are washed, there is a minute amount of vm in the locks. Can be over dyed for striking effects.
These locks are from one of my older ewes. She is very sweet natured.
